We get into the intentions of Rian Johnson, what this film needed to be after The Force Awakens, and we look hard at the two films in comparison. This film lends itself perfectly to examining story in film, what sequels should be, two very different directors, and two divergent views of what Star Wars is-- those of J.J. Abrams and Rian Johnson. This is one of our best film discussions yet!
