This long awaited (by us) dive into our mutual favorite genre includes a wide selection, both from film & tv, of mostly recent crime entries, but with one sweaty, notable exception. We talk why crime is a great canvas for broad story & character possibilities, and how amazing performances come from such characters when actors are given chances to be emotionally risky or vulnerable. Highlighting the brilliant work of Christopher Meloni, Gary Oldman, Lena Olin, Juliette Lewis & Annabella Sciorra, as well as the extra impressive Lucy Liu, we also discuss how actors grow on you over time, and how certain characters change how you feel about them permanently.
